Dignity Center

Looking for a way to make a difference in the world?  The Dignity Center can help, but get ready for the well-known service boomerang effect – those who serve often find they receive far more in return!

The Dignity Center, an outreach ministry of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, is a three morning a week program that brings support, opportunity and resources to people in transition as they regain stability and move toward self-sufficiency. Dignity Center clients visit a welcoming environment where trained volunteer advocates work with them individually to understand and address their unique needs.  This working relationship ensures accountability while offering hope and encouragement along the way as they regain confidence and self-motivation.

We offer a variety of opportunities to volunteer either in our Individual Client Program or to work on one of our many program supporting projects.  Commitments can range from 4 hours a week on Monday, Wednesday or Friday to making sandwiches once a month.  We can find a place for you!
