Come and Make Music With Us

Musical Opportunities for Adults 

Chancel Choir is open to anyone 18 and older who loves to sing and provides weekly musical leadership for both worship services most Sundays. In addition, faith is nurtured by belonging to this friendly, supportive community.

Regular rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 6.

Rehearsal: Wednesdays, 7:15–8:45 PM (rehearsals extend to 9:00 pm during major seasons)

Masterworks Choir is open to those who want to participate in major Chancel Choir projects but cannot commit to the full calendar season. We invite you to join us in October to prepare for our Good Samaritan Christmas concert, our presentation of Handel’s Messiah on Christmas Eve, and to join us again in January as we prepare for our Ashes of Roses and Good Friday Tenebrae presentations.

Chancel Chimes, our adult bell choir, participates musically leadership in our worship

services on a monthly basis. This ensemble performs in festivalsconcerts throughout the Twin Cities.

Musical Opportunities for Children and Youth

Cherub Music Makers is for children ages 4/5 and in Kindergarten.

The love of music is nurtured in young singers through songs and musical games.

Fall Schedule: Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, Dec. 3, 10, 17, 24 (4pm Family service)

Rehearsal time: Sunday mornings as a part of Sunday school

Alleluia Choir is for children in grades Kindergarten–2nd grade.

The choir provides another opportunity for spiritual growth and development through music. Experiences that promote efficient, healthy vocal production are provided to encourage individual vocal development. Basic music fundamentals and music reading skills are explored,

along with an introduction to part singing.

Rehearsal begins on September 13.

Choristers Choir is for children in grades 3–6.

Part-singing is expanded and opportunities to play instruments and sing with the Youth Vocal Ensemble and Chancel Choirs are also integrated into the choir year. The text of the each song is examined to help create an understanding of how it fits into the worship service.

Youth Choir is made up of students in grades 6–12 from throughout the area.

With weekly practices, monthly worship participation, collaborating with other ensembles, retreats, and a regional mini-tour, the Youth Choir provides fun and fulfilling music and service opportunities.

New Musical Opportunities for All Ages 

Family Chorus is an ensemble that meets only on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Much like the Summer Family chorus, this group will come together to learn a variety of songs—gospel, folk, jazz, bluegrass, world styles—in a very short amount of time. It’s the perfect ensemble for those who cannot commit to weekly rehearsals.

OrchaBand

If you play any instrument at a moderate level of proficiently, we would love to have you join our roster to provide accompaniment for hymns on a quarterly basis.

Dates: Sunday, October 15 (meet @ 8 a.m.), December 2 for the Hanging of the Greens service
