John will preach at both services. At 11:45 AM, following the second service, a potluck dinner and open microphone for story sharing will provide a fun and informal opportunity to reconnect with John. Please bring a dish to share. Come celebrate with “Pride in Our Past and Faith in Our Future!”

Samaritan Showcase

On Sunday, March 21, we will be showcasing all of the ministries done by our committees here at Good Samaritan. We have over 40 committees or service areas that do the work of the church from helping to create worship on Sunday mornings, to maintaining the dishwasher, to managing our finances, to creating opportunities for service, to creating programs for a wide variety of ages and beyond.

Please take a walk through the narthex and Fireside Room on March 21 and take a look at the wide variety of things that the people of our church do in the name of Good Samaritan. Give a prayer of thanks for all these ministries, and if there is something that intersects with your passion, sign up to be part of the group that makes that ministry possible.

Remember Minnesota FoodShare

Each March, FoodShare directs the largest food drive in the state (known as the March Campaign) and restocks more than 260 food shelves across Minnesota. It recruits thousands of congregations, corporations, schools and civic groups to run local drives to aid in the effort.

Our focus at Good Samaritan is on collecting monetary donations to take advantage of the greater buying power food shelves enjoy with their ability to purchase items in bulk at reduced rates. Please make checks out to Good Samaritan with a memo stating “Foodshelves.”

For food donations, consider donating lunch/dinner items such as hearty soups or stews, canned chili, tuna, canned vegetables or fruits, canned or boxed main dishes, rice, beans, potato buds, or pasta and pasta sauce. Thank you for your contributions.
